Welcome to our first Painting Challenge here on Boundless Realms! These will be run once every other month, for the duration of a month, though if they prove popular we can push for them being more frequent.
Our first Challenge is Ground Pounders, here's the chance to show off your Infantry painting skills! Any human-sized model is valid from any game, (for example, Soviets from Bolt Action, Hormagaunts from 40K, Gotham Cops from Batman, etc, etc.) For point of reference we'll consider these as any model of a base size of 40mm or lower to be valid. Smaller-scale games This Challenge will begin today, and run for the duration of one month.
I'll be talking with staff to see if we can get a display set up for completed vows.

Here are the rules for this challenge:
- Vows must be submitted with pictures in this thread before any painting is started. Vows that are primed are fine, but no more than this. These vows must contain five Infantry-sized models with a packaged base size of 40mm or smaller. Games that occur at smaller scales, such as Planetstrike or Dropzone Commander are still valid - you'll merely have to submit five bases of Infantry models,
- Vows pledged must be completed by the 21st of July,
- Complete your vow to the best of your ability. Though this is a friendly competition, the most important thing to beat is your last paintjob. Do your best to paint something you'd be proud to display and show off,
- Constructive criticism and sharing tips are encouraged, but don't belittle someone if they models aren't to the same standard a your's. Everyone paints differently, and some people have more practice and ability than others. Help your fellow Challengers to improve themselves by all means, but don't go Full Metal Jacket about it,
- Work-In-Progress shots are encouraged in this thread to keep each other motivated and gather helpful tips. However, make sure these are saved for major bits of work and don't overdo the posting on here,
- No talking down of people's choice of army or game. This is just about the paintjobs and the models, not about whether someone's preparing a, "cheese list,"
- Completed vows will earn a badge of honour that can be added to their Signature or Profile. I'll be talking with staff to secure a display shelf as well for completions in the store,
