Hi Guys,
I know there are a few Khador players about, thought it would be good to have a thread for thoughts on tactics etc.
I'd quite like some ideas/advice for dealing with the stores resident dancing Molik Khan.

Hi Jenisand, Molik can be tough, especially if you get caught off guard - however he's not that tough and can die very easily.
Get ready for a wall of text!
The main combos/synergies to look out are rush and beat back from the titan Gladiator and Bronzeback animi - these give him a larger charge distance, pathfinder and more movement shenanigans combined with his own sidestep ability. Also, don't forget that the Extoller Soulward can allow him to have both Eyeless Sight and Magic Weapon - so no hiding behind clouds and trees..
The general distance he can reach is: 6 +2 (rush) +3 (charge), so 11 + 2 with reach = 13 inches in total you then add in his sidestep movement of +2 and then another +2 if he hits with both initial attacks. This makes his effective threat range for assassination 17 inches..
I believe that if the Bronzeback uses it's animus on him to give Molik beatback, that's at least another 2 inches to make a 19 inch initial threat range (before he starts forcing for additional attacks).
Now the good news (sort of).. That threat range is stupidly long and can work in your favour - in that Molik can soon find himself out of range of his Warlock, which means no forcing for additional attacks and activation effectively over.
This is good news for us if his controlling warlock has particularly low Fury - for example Xerxis, as Molik can only be 10 inches away from him to be effective (usually), which means that if the assassination run fails you can try one of your own next turn..
The ways I would look at countering Molik would be the following:
Keep in mind his inital threat range of 13 inches and how he gets further up the board with side step - if you don't give him targets to hit, beat back and side step, he can't move further towards his real target (your prize solo or warlock/warcaster) - keep groups of models at least 3 inches away from each other.
Use high def models (Kayazy assassins/eleiminators, Iron fleshed models) to block obvious routes and bait him - side step only triggers on initial attacks, so if he has to waste them (or fury boosting) he not going to get to his target or at least not be as effective. *Remember that side step doesn't trigger with trample - so he wont be able to trample and sidestep though.
Also spells like watcher (Zerkova) can be ruin assassination runs - simply by blocking and not attacking, also counter charging models (wardog, Drakun) can block runs and dish out a bit of hurt on him too.
Always keep some hard hitters back, in case he does get through and you survive - so that you are able to finish him off in your turn - Molik is quite fragile and a few charging weapon master attacks will kill him quite quickly.
Hopefully that's helpful.
If you want some specific advise on certain Khador units/tactics let me know.

Thanks Will thats really useful, I'd completely forgotten about the warlock control ranges + forcing so will have to try and exploit that.
